In this Hackathon you will get hands-on with Event Driven Architecture, OpenShift and Kafka. Very little will be “cookbook” ready so you need to be prepared for a day of experimenting in an open environment where you decide the ambition level
The feedback from previous event is that it is highly educational, very inspiring and FUN
Who should attend: Don’t get us wrong - anyone is welcome, but a developer background and/or Kubernetes knowledge is recommended. We will work in teams and try to distribute competencies equally in the teams. Also; we will send out some material beforehand that will allow you (time permitting) to prepare yourself

Developing applications that are reactive, event-driven, and polyglot are all requirements for today's application architecture. While cloud infrastructure and container Kubernetes solutions, such as Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat OpenShift, provide a robust infrastructure foundation for distributed environments, similar seamless application services require building applications that take full advantage of such an infrastructure.
In this hackathon, we will use Red Hat's distributed application environment architecture and create an application of the future that scales and delivers all the elements necessary for success.
In this hackathon we will be able to get hands-on with technology Quarkus, Vertx, Microprofile, Spring, Node, Kafka via AMQ Streams, Process Automation Manager (PAM), Decision Manager (DM), Red Hat Data Grid (RDG), Single Sign On (SSO), Prometheus, Grafana, and much more.
