In-person Event

Columbus Red Hat User Group

November 16, 2023 | 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM ET | IBM Office, Columbus Downtown

OVERVIEW

We invite you to join Red Hat® experts, Dynatrace, and your local community for a Red Hat User Group (RHUG) event focused on Red Hat OpenShift® Virtualization capabilities and getting the most from Dynatrace. You’ll have the opportunity to explore running your virtual machines (VMs) alongside your containers and managing them all from the single pane of glass within the Red Hat OpenShift console. In addition, Dynatrace will showcase their products and demonstrate how to get the most out of integrations with Red Hat Ansible® Automation Platform and Red Hat OpenShift.

AGENDA TOPICS & SPEAKERS

Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization: A fresh perspective on virtual machines for the enterprise

Red Hat OpenShift has powerful capabilities in addition to deploying and managing container workloads smoothly. OpenShift Virtualization highlights Red Hat OpenShift’s ability to extend into hosting VM workloads alongside containers, which reduces the cost of hosting multiple platforms. In this session, you’ll discover how your organization can benefit from its existing investments in virtualization while taking advantage of the simplicity and speed of a modern application platform. Integrating VMs into the Red Hat OpenShift application infrastructure affords you the opportunity to develop and deploy applications in an environment that offers consistency and is built on open standards.

Speaker: Leslie Nicholson, Senior Specialist Solution Architect, OpenShift

Dynatrace and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform: A better together story

Using Dynatrace’s platform to identify the problem is the first step toward resolution. Remediation can then be automated by Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform and by following your predefined processes, at the application layer, at the infrastructure layer, or anywhere in your IT environment. Combining Dynatrace with the power of Ansible Automation Platform allows users to chain together a series of job templates, merging multiple actions into a single workflow that can be called directly from Dynatrace to create powerful remediation workflows using Dynatrace’s integration framework.
Event-Driven Ansible is a new model for enterprise automation that supports automatic responses to changing conditions in your environment, based on triggers from observed events within your ecosystem and observability tooling. This drastically reduces response time to a range of needs, such as correcting configuration drift, enhancing service ticket information, performing basic remediation, shutting down IT resources so a security threat can be investigated, creating tickets, performing backups, and more. Increase the speed to resolution, free up time for more strategic tasks, and improve system reliability to enhance your customers’ experience. In this session, Dynatrace will walk you through using their platform with Ansible Automation Platform to automate your enterprise.
